Our client is a Swiss based Asset Management firm, looking for a :
The monitoring spans across the entire structure (mandates, clients, funds, strategies, etc) and is comprised of distinct limit categories (regulatory, contractual and internal).
- Risk Control:
- Monitor liquidity, leverage risk and counterparty credit risk
- Monitor regulatory, contractual and internal risk limits and all other investment restrictions across funds and portfolios
- Monitor trading activities in line with market abuse regulations and internal and external guidelines and procedures
- Following-up on corrective actions with traders, portfolio and fund managers while understanding their business challenges and workflows
- Maintain and update a log of all breaches and validated exceptions
- Prepare all risk packs for relevant Boards and be the secretary of the Risk Committee
- Risk Management
- Participate in the design, implementation and improvement of risk processes
- Understand the global risk management framework, attached risk owners and processes
- Propose changes or improvements where needed
- Continuously monitor Risk Management processes by performing evidence and sample checks, report findings and propose improvements
- Work in collaboration with Compliance and Internal Audit with all matters related to Risk Management processes
- Be knowledgeable about industry’s best practices related to Risk Management and help the firm stay ahead of the curve on that front
Required Profile:
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar experience in risk management and/or, investment compliance
- Good knowledge of asset management business, namely trading of liquid assets and alternative investments such as Hedge Funds and Private Equity
- Excellent understanding of applicable regulations (Investment restrictions, market abuse, market conduct)
- In-depth understanding of technical and financial risk practices within the investment management industry
- University degree or equivalent
- Capable of working independently towards clearly defined objectives
- Willing to learn
- Excellent presentation skills, open communication and positive attitude contributing to creating a constructive team spirit
- Fluent in English and French
- Good knowledge of SQL language is a plus
