Airspace Management Expert (80-100%)

Your responsibilities:

The Airspace Management Cell ensures the realization of the flexible use of airspace concept and drives its further development as a key player. The implementation of internationally and nationally defined legal frameworks in an operational environment is one of our main tasks.

  • Manage airspace reservation requests from civil and military airspace users in Switzerland with respect to national and international regulations and guidelines
  • Ensure support for customers in route management, special flight management and airspace management sections
  • Lead and participate to national and international meetings with customers and stakeholders to ensure a high-quality service delivery in line with latest international, national and Skyguide-internal legislation and regulation
  • Support and initiate further development of airspace management processes, documentation and organisation
  • Contribute to the continuous development of the unit to ensure highest standards in quality, compliance, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Work in an operational environment and coordinate with regulator, customers and stakeholders to provide a flexible and effective use of the airspace
Your profile:

  • High school diploma, bachelor's degree or equivalent with experience in the field of Aviation; Air Traffic Management (ATM) or Airspace Management (ASM)
  • Specialized aviation training or equivalent work background (ATM, ATC, pilot, dispatcher or similar) are an asset
  • An understanding of ICAO, Eurocontrol, Swiss and European legislation governing the aviation sector are an asset
  • High willingness to learn Airspace Management, Airspace regulations, criteria and working methods
  • Flexibility to travel to national and international meetings
  • Business fluent in German and English, French is an asset
