The ITA is an international organisation constituted as an independent not-for-profit foundation based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Its mission is to protect the integrity of sport and the health of athletes by delivering high-quality anti-doping programs to International Sports Federations (IFs), Major Event Organisers (MEOs) and Anti-Doping Organisations (ADOs) that seek increased transparency and independence. The ITA operates in full compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code.

To support its Legal department in Lausanne, the ITA is looking for a committed and passionate full-time (40 hours per week):

Job description

Reporting to a Senior Legal Counsel, the Junior Legal Counsel will support the legal team with corporate and governance matters. He/She will notably bring in their sound interest and knowledge in contractual law as well as great drafting skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Contract drafting (all types: commercial, research project, collaboration with stakeholders, employment, non-disclosure agreements, etc.);
  • Legal advice pertaining to all ITA corporate and governance matters including: contractual, regulatory, data privacy, HR and intellectual property, amongst others;
  • Legal support to all ITA departments in their daily operations

Expected experience, knowledge, and skills

  • Bachelor of Laws – Master in sport law and/or bar association membership, an asset
  • 0-2 years of working experience as a lawyer (in-house or law firm)
  • Excellent drafting skills
  • Analytical skills, rigorous and methodical
  • Efficient communication skills
  • Strong sense of service and confidentiality
  • Team spirit
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good knowledge and experience with the Olympic movement, the institutions and overall anti-doping policy, an asset
