INNOVATE EVERYDAY:

Tandem Diabetes Care Switzerland is developing Sigi™, a next-generation insulin “patch pump” that will offer additional treatment options for people with diabetes. This pump is based on a patented microfluidics technology developed in-house over the past 6 years. You can find out more about Sigi here .

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

The IT Site Specialist will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems, software, and hardware. He will have to install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems, workstations, servers, and network issues in a diverse environment. He will have to implement information technology systems and solutions including enhancements (software and hardware updates or changes) that improve the performance, security and/or reliability of the system.

Working from Tandem Diabetes Care Switzerland’s office onsite in Switzerland, you’ll….

  • Be responsible for supporting on site IT activities for the Tandem Switzerland Office, such as lab support, printing, audio-visual support, inventory tracking and desk moves/setups.
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, software, networked peripheral devices, cabling, networking hardware, and voice products.
  • Set up and configure new employee workstations, accounts, and access.
  • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC and network problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, as needed.
  • Escalate unresolved problems to IT Management and work closely with IT Systems and Network Engineers.
  • Implement, and support the network and computing infrastructure plan.
  • Respond to Service Desk ticketing requests and incidents to meet business SLAs.
  • Document common problems and fixe and provide ticket status updates to IT management.
  • Administer Active Directory and Exchange (email) accounts.
  • Provide occasional support for Apple OSX hardware and software.
  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles accessible to IT support staff as well as the end-user population.
  • Maintain all client systems are up to date with proper patches for hardware and software.
  • Maintain technical documentation and assist with writing detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify business processes and computer systems, along with LAN/WAN configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements as well as industry best practices.

YOU’RE AWESOME AT:

  • Technical knowledge of server, voice, network, and client computing hardware/software:
    • Proficient in both Windows and Linux operating environments
    • Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards.
    • Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
    • Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
    • Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as assigned.
    • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Strong customer-service orientation.
  • Skilled at presenting information in a clear, concise manner to all levels within the organization.
  • Skilled at contributing on a consistent basis to team initiatives in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Ability to react to changing situations in a timely, calm, and confident manner. Fluent in English required; fluent in French required.

YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Network+
  • 6 plus years of experience working in a Windows LAN/WAN network environment including:
    • Windows Servers, Workstations, and networks in a medium LAN/WAN environment.
    • Administration of Windows and Linux servers and systems
    • Extensive experience in desktop support and administration. Proficient with Microsoft 365
    • Identification of and troubleshooting issues with network connectivity, software, installation and configuration, firewall, routers, switches, DNS, WINS & DHCP services.
