We are looking for you! A communicative, motivated, and dedicated individual to join our team in Siggenthal Station-Würenlingen. The role reports to the Holcim CEW Manufacturing Performance Head of Engineering and focuses on developing large CapEx projects for the CEW region, emphasizing feasibility and front-end engineering design. The Project and Engineering Manager oversees the technical multi-disciplinary engineering aspects of the project.

Your tasks

  • Ensure integration of Health, Safety, and Environmental values and standards into all engineering project activities.
  • Develop and manage large capital projects using Holcim Standard methods, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to investment decision gates.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary engineering development with third parties and ensures: Overseeing CapEx concept development, project documentation, and technical evaluations.
  • Manage project budgets from feasibility through to execution, ensuring cost-effective solutions and technical support during construction and commissioning.
  • Conduct design safety, operability, and value reviews with stakeholders, and organize formal risk analyses with the Project Manager and Client.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition to operations post-handover, prepare AAR processes, and monitor all technical exchanges with engineering teams, procurement, and suppliers.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or process engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven engineering coordination experience in the cement or heavy industry; experience in Oil and Gas engineering is a plus.
  • Proactive, objective oriented team player with the ability to adapt to different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • Willingness to travel 30-40% of the time within Europe, especially in the CEW cluster (Switzerland, Italy, South Germany, and France).
  • Fluent in English and advanced in German; knowledge of French or other languages is an additional asset.
