Senior Physician Responsible for Respiratory Rehabilitation

The Pulmonology Unit, spread over two sites, covers all respiratory pathologies relevant to an acute care hospital (Fribourg) and those related to pulmonary rehabilitation (Riaz). It holds an ISFM postgraduate training accreditation in category B.

To complete its team, the Medical Directorate is seeking for the Pulmonology Unit a

Your mission:

• to be responsible, within the Pulmonology Unit, for respiratory rehabilitation (based at HFR Riaz)
• to participate in the outpatient and inpatient care of patients with pulmonary pathologies, including at the HFR Fribourg site as needed by the unit
• to perform bronchoscopies at the HFR Fribourg site
• to participate in the on-call duties of the Pulmonology Unit
• to supervise assistant physicians and rotating senior physicians and participate in their training
• to participate in the teaching of students from the University of Fribourg

Your profile:

• specialist titles (ISFM) in pulmonology and general internal medicine
• solid clinical experience in hospital and outpatient pulmonology, including as senior physician or consultant
• experience in pulmonary rehabilitation is a definite advantage
• experience as a senior physician in hospital internal medicine is a plus
• proficiency in diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related respiratory disorders, including non-invasive ventilation
• dynamic, open, and collegial personality
• interest in organising pre- and postgraduate and continuing education for doctors and nursing staff
• proficiency in French or German with good knowledge of the other language (ability to conduct a medical interview)
