Business Application Administrator / IT Generalist (Application Manager) (m/f/d) 80-100% 15-month Fixed-term Contract



Our Migration & Integration Department in French-speaking Switzerland – a branch of Caritas Switzerland in Fribourg employing around one hundred staff – is responsible for supporting and integrating recognised refugees in the canton of Fribourg on behalf of the canton. In this context, and to optimise the management and quality of our data, we are looking for a business application administrator / IT generalist (Application Manager) for a 15-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension.

Your tasks
  • Business software Tutoris: Manage access / Provide introductory training / Updates and configuration / Continuous improvement / Provide 1st and 2nd level user support for the software
  • Contribute to compliance with data quality standards and procedures, including their updating for the MI-CHR Department
  • Perform data extractions, process and analyse data to prepare statistics in the form of dashboards, reports or lists
  • Develop and maintain data control and process support applications for the MI-CHR Department using Office 365 tools, Microsoft Power Platform;
  • Collaborate on updating the department's Intranet (SharePoint) and procedural documents from creation to archiving/destruction
  • Write and keep user documentation for various IT tools up to date
  • Ensure process standardisation, coordination and communication between different services
Our requirements
  • Training in business IT (CFC IT specialist) or commercial employee with excellent IT skills, holding a CAS "Certificate of Advanced Studies" in application lifecycle management or equivalent (an advantage).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially VBA, Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, Power Query).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft collaborative tools (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI is an advantage).
  • Knowledge of data protection and IT security requirements.
  • Good knowledge of databases, SQL (or query language) and data quality standards (an advantage).
  • High planning demands; need to regularly set new priorities.
  • Fluent French (spoken and written).
  • Excellent German skills (bilingual is an advantage).
  • Technical English.
The workplace is Fribourg.
Start date: 1 December 2026 or by agreement.
