Senior Power Spot Trader (w/m/d)

As a Senior Spot Trader in our Asset-backed Power Trading, you will bring your expertise and commitment to ensure the continued success of our trading! In this role you take responsibility and enjoy the freedom and flexibility to bring in and implement your own ideas and solutions.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Optimal value protection through model-based management and use of flexible power plants, power plant participations and contracts


• Value maximization through proprietary trading in the short-term markets


• Optimization of our Swiss power plant fleet on the Swiss spot exchange and surrounding countries


• Intraday trading and power plant optimization in the Swiss intraday market and surrounding countries


• Ensuring correct mapping of all business activities in the trading and risk management system; detailed documentation of trading activities


• Cooperation with other functions and departments (e.g. optimization,dispatching, scheduling, risk, origination)

Profile & Requirements:

• College/university or university of applied sciences with technical, scientific, or eco-nomic orientation


• You have atleast 3-5 years of professional experience in the energy industry, ideally in spot power trading with direct book responsibility


• You have analytical strength and ability as well as a high result orientation and closing power


• You have a strong interest in and commitment to new solutions enabled by digitalization


• You are fluent inEnglish, German, French or Italian is an advantage


• You are willing to work weekends and shifts
