Job Description

About this job:

Providing comprehensive office and facility management services to PartnerRe Zürich and its employees.

Representing the interests of office and facility management in all matters towards German-speaking service providers and suppliers, as well towards employees of PartnerRe Zürich.

Office and infrastructure maintenance

  • Independent execution of repairs e.g., repairing furniture, exchanging light bulbs, removing stains, fixing the shower or toilet, repairing a door handle, etc.
  • Checking sanitary facilities, siphons & maintenance
  • Adaptation of room furnishings (especially for events), changing partition walls and appropriate seating
  • Maintenance of workstations (tables & lamps, chairs, etc.)
  • Ensuring order/cleanliness/safety throughout the office
  • Waste management (paper, cardboard, glass, PET, batteries, plastics, other waste
  • Craftsmen's accompaniment (verification of safety standards)
  • Parking management (collaboration with reception, user controls, labels)
  • Post administration (packing goods, delivering parcels to the post office, cooperation with the reception, use of Internet portals, e.g. My Post)
  • Order and refill printer paper
  • Check water dispensers (defect reports, gas bottles, etc.)

Monitor security standards

  • Compliance with operational and legal safety regulations
  • Carry out an evacuation exercise with preparation and follow-up
  • Contact person for first aid
  • EKAS: Carry out hazard identification and risk assessment, manage and implement action planning
  • Regular Reporting
  • Onboarding of new employees (buildings, services, security)

Administrative

  • Update site plans / floor overviews (seating plans, layout plans, etc.)
  • Managing office supplies, managing meeting rooms (whiteboards, etc.)
  • Daily checking and processing of repair orders
  • Regular Reporting
  • Errands (mail, etc.)

Depending on suitability/interest, possibly additionally by agreement:

  • Support access control system (keeping processes up-to-date, documenting, instructing reception staff, evaluations, system updates, etc.)
  • Maintain facility management database (e.g. entries, exits, changes, etc.)

Qualifications

About you:

  • Skills, Competencies:
  • Skilled craftsman with broad manual skills, especially with regard to maintenance and/or repair of building services systems and facilities.
  • Good safety awareness, incl. compliance with SUVA and EKAS regulations
  • Languages: Fluent German and English
  • Good communication in daily contact with employees, including feedback/completion notices to employees and superiors
  • Microsoft 365 applications – proficient handling of Outlook, Word, Excel in particular. Further IT knowledge is an advantage.
  • Empathetic and reliable personality, open to feedback
  • High flexibility, customer and service-oriented
  • Team player

Qualifications:

  • Craft training at EFZ level or Federal Professional certificate and experience as a carpenter, electrician, plumber or caretaker. Newcomers/switchers welcome with a willingness to develop independently
  • Trained First Aider (Level 1 IVR; or Willingness to Train)
