To support our Systems Engineering team we are looking for our offices in Yverdon-les-Bains for an:

Purpose:

To lead the mechanical engineering team for the design and development of packs and racks.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the mechanical development team, review and plan activity.
  • Create designs based on client or company need.
  • Support project from first concept up to production.
  • Ensures that design meets necessary standards, requirements and specifications.
  • Organize and lead design reviews (engineering, LSA, suppliers and possibly customer)
  • Iterate design through prototypes and validation phases.
  • Ensure compliance with NPI and IRIS process.
  • Define, apply and maintain designs methodologies.
  • Participate in product requirement analysis.
  • Support supplier selection.
  • Provide design to cost, design for assembly, design for manufacturing.
  • Ensure proper use of PDM, ensure the delivery of related contractual documents and analysis.
  • Assists in setting and managing design budget.
  • Within engineering, interface with other specialties, electrical, simulation, validation-verification-prototype, system engineering, safety, application team as well as project teams.

Skills & Experience:

  • MSc or equivalent degree in Engineering.
  • People management experience
  • Good Battery knowledge and understanding.
  • Few years of experience working with CAD and PDM.
  • Knowledge of standards in different industries railway, marine, automotive, industrial is a big advantage.
