We are looking for a Senior Project scheduler manager to embark in a major infrastructure program , involving large project organization, multi-disciplinary approach and complex stakeholder management.
The Senior Project scheduler manager will develop, maintain, and update the overall Project scheduling and planning, taking into account contract requirements as well as inputs from customer, related parties , 3rdparties. The Senior Project scheduler manager will gather and integrate all the specific schedules of the different work packages and interfaces milestones, thorough the entire project duration, from early design stage to revenue service.
Throughout the Project, the Senior Project scheduler manager will analyze and monitor the progress of the work in close collaboration with the project management team, engineering teams, and customer , 3rdparties and related parties representatives. The Project scheduler manager will prepare progress reports and dashboards, ensuring it fulfills applicable Project standards.
The Senior Project scheduler manager will work closely with the project management team, Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management , Tests management, and Commercial functions. He/she will coordinate with all programs external stakeholders to ensure consistency of the schedules among the involved parties. The Senior Project scheduler manager will ensure a clear understanding of the overall challenges and will foster engagement from all parties, reinforcing a shared understanding and commitment to the common objectives. The Senior Project scheduler manager will actively participate in coordination meetings and steering committees, presenting planning analyses and supporting strategic decision-making, always with the common objective of ensuring the Project’s success.
What will you do?
The Senior Project scheduler manager will lead a scheduling team. The team will undertake all aspects of the project scheduling and planning functions:
- To set-up schedule baselines with a planning and reporting tool (Primavera P6).
- To assess impact of changes in scope, schedule and propose adjustments or mitigations in coordination with the relevant project management teams, ensuring proactive management of planning-related risks.
- To perform time- and cost-based forecasting, integrating operational constraints in order to secure timely delivery and maintain Project performance.
- To inform and advise the project team on overall performance, highlighting variances and potential risks, including possible mitigations.
- To monitor critical path
- To manage resources loaded schedules , by properly linking activities and allocating the required resources (labor, materials, and equipment) within the schedule to ensure operational consistency.
- to ensure proper documentation of planning processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of the tools and methods used.
What will you need to succeed?
- A minimum of 10 years of solid experience in project schedule management, in large projects business, within the heavy industry (rail, aerospace, shipbuilding, energy, mining) or within the construction sector, involving large-scale engineering, system integration and manufacturing , construction challenges.
- Experience in people management and team leadership
- Strong knowledge of scheduling methodologies (critical path analysis, baseline management).
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated experience working inmatrix organizationswith cross‑functional teams
- coordination, and stakeholder management skills
- Structured, detail‑oriented, and proactive working style aligned with Siemens quality standards.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- PMP certification (or equivalent) will be a plus.
- Scheduling certifications (Primavera P6, PMI‑SP, or equivalent) will be a plus
- Willingness to travel in Canada (business trips)
The successful candidate for this position must be fluent in English (oral and written) to perform the duties and responsibilities of the role.

- The role requires regular interaction with Siemens colleagues based in Quebec, Ontario, nationally and internationally.
