This is what you contribute

As a Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the development of our ML-based software solutions. As part of a cross-functional team with more than 20 highly motivated ML and Data Engineers, Developers, PO's, Car Experts and other, you will design, implement, and maintain high-quality, production-ready software. You will be an integral member of the ML team, as well as working closely and collaboratively with the broader software development team.

Here's how you'll make an impact:

• You maintain running systems in production, identify and fix bugs in them.
• You analyze new software requirements for their feasibility and complexity.
• You develop the backend solutions using Python.
• You compile and analyze data, processes, and code to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
• You define and develop the interfaces to the components (APIs) and the data models used by the systems.

Our tech stack includes:

• Python and relevant computer vision libraries (e.g. NumPy, pandas, OpenCV, scikit-image)
• Large Language Models (e.g. GPT, LLAMA, BERT)
• Frameworks essential for training and evaluating image recognition tasks (e.g. PyTorch, Vertex AI, COCO)
• Databases (SQL, BigQuery)
• Infrastructure components such as GCP, GPU, Docker, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and CI/CD

This turns you into the perfect candidate

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering (with running systems in production), with a strong focus on Python and ideally with a BS/MS degree in computer science.
• You have experience with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps (implementing and maintaining CICD pipelines, deploying cloud infrastructure, code to testing, production environments, etc.).
• You enrich the team with your expertise in TypeScript and preferably with Node.js/NestJS.
• You have experience with Python web frameworks (FastAPI + Pydantic) as well as with Terraform. 
• You are familiar with cloud services, and ideally with GCP.
• You are interested in Machine Learning and Computer Vision.
• You have good business acumen and ability to communicate technical matters to non-experts.
• You are proficient in English, German is a plus, and working in a startup spirit (all hands on deck / MVP thinking).
