The KPM Center for Public Management at the University of Bern is looking for a dedicated assistant.
Start of employment: negotiable, ideally as soon as possible
We are a nationally and internationally renowned research center in the field of administrative science. As an interfaculty unit of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Law, we are committed to interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research between the disciplines of economics, political science and law.
TasksContribute to a research project centered on Public Service Moti-vation (PSM). Your work will directly support our efforts to refine the understanding of PSM and its impact on behavior across diverse organizational settings. This will involve:
- Conducting interviews with professionals in the public, non-profit, and private
- Cleaning and coding collected data
- Playing a key role in conducting a literature review on PSM
Requirements
- A genuine passion for the dynamics of motivation and hu-man resource management, particularly within the public sector
- A keen interest in and ideally some hands-on experience with qualitative research methods, especially conducting in-terviews, and with literature review
- Fluency in both German and English are essential. A good knowledge of French and/or Italian is a plus
- A background in Public Management, Political Science or Psychology
- Ability to work independently and to collaborate effectively within a team
- Enrollment at a Swiss university of applied sciences
