The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including athletes, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), Worldwide Olympic Partners and Media Rights-Holders. As Senior Manager Esports Projects, your mission will be to manage the development of esports titles and publisher integration for the IOC reporting to the Esports Associate Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Associate Director of Esports for Core Esports Games titles, in close collaboration with game publishers, other involved colleagues in the delivery of relevant projects and initiatives, including Olympic Agenda 2020+5.
- Lead the design and execution of the participation of core esports games publishers in the Olympic Esports Games providing technical, operational and project management support with a special focus on program management.
- Provide strategic insights, key data, and trends to the esports unit in relation to core esports titles.
- Work with IOC relevant functions and Olympic stakeholders to ensure project coordination and effective project delivery.
- Define and drive key initiatives connected to the area of core esports and support the effective execution of the related internal processes (reporting, budgeting, etc).
- Identify areas of opportunities and challenges and adapt the strategic plan accordingly around the onboarding of core esports titles to the program.
- Be the main contact with the operating partners and host cities with regards to competition programming and design.
- Scope and manage the entry requirements and facilitate the addition of demonstration and festival games for core esports.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- University degree or equivalent in business, marketing, media and/or entertainment industry.
- More than 5 years of experience in working for or with core Esports ecosystems, experience working for Esport game publishers is preferred.
- Knowledge and expertise in working at or directly with game publishers and esports stakeholders from within media / sports / entertainment organizations, with deep understanding of the ecosystem.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex project.
- Excellent presentation skills and attention to details.
- Fluent in English and/or French with excellent writing and speaking of the other language.
