Information Security & Cloud Officer
Role Summary:
The Information Security & Cloud Officer plays a central role in safeguarding the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of IT systems and data across globally, manufacturing and distribution functions. Acting as the extension of the Global Information Security Office (ISO), this role ensures alignment with global policies, drives security initiatives, and supports IT infrastructure requirements where needed.
This position also acts as the backup to the CISO, contributing to the implementation of enterprise-wide security architecture strategies with the CISO.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Security Governance & Policy Implementation
- Implement and maintain a sustainable Information Security Management System (ISMS), aligned with ISO 27001/NIST frameworks and corporate policies.
- Audit, Monitor local compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX), and industry standards.
- Ensure alignment of local practices with corporate data protection and cybersecurity standards.
- Risk Management & Incident Handling
- Conduct and maintain risk assessments, identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks through technical and procedural measures.
- Lead local incident response efforts, including detection, containment, eradication, and recovery in collaboration with global teams.
- Oversee and coordinate regular vulnerability scans and ensure timely remediation actions.
- Infrastructure & Architecture Support
- Support local IT infrastructure security needs and collaborate to ensure secure-by-design principles.
- Implement solution and Support technology L1/L2 and coordinate L3 with external supplier.
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of secure infrastructure configurations and system designs.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate with internal departments, global teams, and external vendors to maintain secure operations.
- Prepare and support internal and external audits, providing required documentation and leading remediation efforts.
- Training, Awareness & Reporting
- Design and deliver security training programs and awareness campaigns to strengthen the local security culture.
- Report regularly to Head of IT and global CISO on status, risks, and proposed security measures.
- Evaluate third-party vendors’ security practices and enforce contractual compliance.
Profile
- Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- At least 5–8 years of professional experience in information security, preferably in manufacturing or regulated industries.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or similar are strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in infrastructure management or security architecture is a strong plus.
- Technical Skills
- Expertise in security frameworks: ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls
- Strong knowledge in network security, data protection, IAM, encryption, and secure infrastructure.
- Proficient in incident response, risk management, and vulnerability management tools and processes.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking
- Ability to identify and assess risks and define appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Skilled in preparing and interpreting security reports, audits, and KPIs.
- Soft Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially for non-technical stakeholders.
- High level of autonomy, assertiveness, and composure under pressure.
- Strong collaboration mindset to engage with global, cross-functional teams.
- Languages
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
German is a strong asset
