VP Product Category - Acidulants
Your Role
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the category strategy and continue to build the engine of our business. Reporting to the EVP, Product Management, you will be responsible for developing the Category and driving growth, profitability, and market share, by leveraging operations, market intelligence, sales and customer feedback as well as R&D capabilities.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Strategy: Develop and implement the Category strategy Identify growth opportunities and innovative solutions to enhance our competitive position and meet short term and long term goals.
- P&L Responsibility: Own the full P&L for the Category, driving revenue growth, margin optimization, and cost efficiency to meet financial targets.
- Product Management and Marketing: Oversee the development and execution of product positioning and pricing strategies in a commoditized market, ensuring growth, competitiveness, and sustained profitability.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the team, including Product Management, Strategic Marketing, and Technical Support, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Shape and Grow Category: Lead product portfolio management, including additions through acquisitions and partnerships, innovation projects, and product life-cycle management
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure a good alignment with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders at all levels of the business up to the Executive Committee
- Customer Focus: keep customers at the center with reliability and service value proposition
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10 years of experience in product management or related roles, with a proven track record of success in driving product growth and profitability in a competitive environment of a commoditized industry.
- Deep understanding of relevant category leadership, market dynamics, including customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence, drive change and collaborate effectively across all levels of the different departments of the company.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving measurable business outcomes.
