We are looking for a Brand Attorney to join the team. Responsible for providing legal support to CSL Vifor’s nephrology brand teams and for the strategic and operational support of CSL Vifor at HQ and in countries, as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

• Support marketed and/or pipeline products: Counsel internal brand teams regarding laws and regulations applicable to advertising and promotion, sales and marketing initiatives, regulatory authorities (e.g. EMEA) guidance documents, and industry codes (e.g. EFPIA) as they relate to business activities and communications with HCPs and/or patient advocacy organizations

• Collaborate closely with CSL Vifor US Legal team on support for marketed and/or pipeline products, including counsel on FDA guidance documents and industry codes (e.g. PhRMA)

• Provide legal analysis and risk-based recommendations regarding applicable laws and regulations (e.g., advertising & promotion, fraud & abuse, anti-kickback, privacy, and false claims act statutes) implicated by proposed or existing business strategies

• Drafting/negotiating agreements (including with HCPs, vendors, speakers etc.) as supported by CSL’s Legal Operations and Services team

• Review and advise on product promotional materials and initiatives, advisory board proposals, speaker programs, and medical education initiatives for anti-kickback, fraud and abuse, and other regulatory compliance

• Advise on applicable laws and regulations on publication support and medical affairs activities

• Ensure that interactions with healthcare professionals and patients comply with applicable legal requirements and company policies

• Overseeing and providing advice and strategic direction with respect to disputes related to promotional materials

• Collaborate closely with Ethics & Compliance team in all ethics and compliance related matters, such as interactions and engagements with HCPs, HCOs, patient associations, patients and government official

 

Your skills & Experience:

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Law

• Preferred: Admission to the Bar

• 5-7 years PQE as practicing attorney in a law firm or in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry

• Experience with pharmaceutical laws, including promotion, anti-kickback, fraud and abuse matters

• Experience advising on commercial and medical strategies

• Experience drafting and negotiating contracts

• Experience participating in promotional review committees

• Country legal support experience a plus
