Audio Visual & Telecommunication Specialist

The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the international organization for public-private cooperation. 

 

The Forum AV (Audio-Visual) and Telecommunication team, integrated in the General Service department, oversees and supports the audio-visual and telecommunication infrastructure of the organization headquarters in Geneva as well as the workspace management platform.  

 

As a member of the team, the AV and Telecommunication specialist will be providing support and training to the staff for the usage of the audio-visual facilities in the meeting rooms and the workspace management platform (Condeco). She/he is also managing the mobile telecommunication fleet and relation with the service provider. The jobholder will also support the team in the creation of processes and statistics and manage new projects implementation. 

 

The role requires a strong service-oriented attitude with the capacity to work under pressure.  Excellent knowledge of Excel and other IT tools with rigorous working methods and project management skills.  

 

Reporting Lines and Interaction  

 

The Specialist reports to the AV and Telecommunication Lead. She/he is working with all Forum employees and in close collaboration with Hospitality, Facility management and IT teams but also with external vendors and technology providers.  

 

Main responsibilities  

End-user support for the AV facilities for daily activities and events: 

  • Monitoring of support mailboxes and hotline phone. 

  • Logging of supports and facilities issues. 

  • Escalation of video conferencing platform and equipment issues. 

End-user training for AV and Workspace management platform: 

  • Creation of user guide and documentation. 

  • Holding live training sessions. 

  • Creation of e-learning courses. 

Workspace management platform support: 

  • 2nd level support and ticket monitoring. 

  • New features development and deployment. 

Other duties: 

  • Telecommunication fleet management. 

  • Identify areas for improvement in processes. 

  • Participate in the creation of statistics dashboards (meeting rooms’ usage, mobile phone communication volumes, heavy user listing, etc.) 

Breakdown of main responsibilities  

  • 50% End user support and training. 

  • 20% Workspace platform management and development. 

  • 20% Project management, creation of processes and statistics. 

  • 10% Other duties. 

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Experience with audio visual equipment in either corporate or event environment (Crestron, AnalogWay, Digital signage, etc.) 

  • Good knowledge of UCC technologies (Zoom, Telecom, MS teams, etc.) 

  • Experience in project management and/or learning/training. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French. 

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications with some experience with databases and strong interest in IT. 

  • Ability to multi-task and operate effectively with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment. 

  • Capacity to innovate, apply critical thinking, work collaboratively in a team against tight deadlines and deliver to the highest standards, service orientation. 

 

Start Date: 1 June, permanent contract.
