Job Description

Position Summary:

As a member of Global Client Services, you are part of One Global Distributed Team: Empowered to Act, Make Connections and get results for our customers and their patients.

The Project Support Associate is a key member of our Project Management team and provides pivotal support which enables unparalleled service to our clients. This role partners with internal and external customers to supervise the daily progress of client project results and plays a key role in documentation, budget management and ensuring an excellent customer experience. The PSA role supports the PM client portfolio to ensure successful completion and supply maintenance over the life cycle of each project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partners with the Client and the internal team to help support the success of a study in any way possible. This may include meetings either at Thermo Fisher Scientific sites or at the client’s premises.
  • Assists in setting up and maintaining study filing systems and maintains accurate records for all work undertaken, working with appropriate quality management systems
  • Collaborates with the Distribution Project Manamgent Team for ensuring that all Fisher Clinical activities come together to meet the customer and study requirements.
  • Coordination and communication of all relevant activities, both internal and external to ensure that all services and products are ready for the start of the study or as required by the customer
  • Gets results through the use of appropriate project planning tools to communicate achievements and critical path activities and responsibilities.
  • Creates and/ or supports creation of operational documentation using internal systems including but not limited to GMP operational documentation.
  • Provides back-up support to the Project manager
  • Collects all information on a study design including; organize shipments through the logistics department, and writing Distribution documents and GMP instructions in a punctual manner

Education

  • Requires accredited college, university or recognized professional degree, preferably in Health Care, Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
  • Requires 2-3 years of successful experience in a professional working environment

Experience

  • Requires excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to analyze and define solutions.
  • Requires ability to develop customer management skills; proactively anticipates, understands, and responds to the needs of clients to meet or exceed their expectations

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Requires strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills and project co-ordination skills
  • Requires proficiency in personal computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
  • Requires understanding and competent use of SOPs required by company Quality standards.
  • Requires excellent organizational, planning, verbal, written and numerical skills with the ability to analyze and define solutions and handle multiple tasks to meet due dates.
  • Requires effective communicator with the ability to successfully present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients.
  • Fluent in English, German language skills desired but not a must.
