International Wealth Senior Consultant (m/f)

The International Wealth Senior Consultant works in the multinational team of actuaries and consultants on retirement benefits projects in the EMEA region. The main focus of the role is to deliver ongoing appointments and develop/win new projects with multinational corporations and international organizations on various aspects of their DB and DC retirement and other benefit plans throughout the world especially in connection with the governance, design, financing, accounting, investment, operation and risk connected to those plans.

Your profile

• Master's degree in applied actuarial science, mathematics, or similar.
• Qualified or close to becoming a qualified actuary in one of the recognized actuarial bodies or associations
• Have relevant experience (5-10 years) in the below subjects:
  • Delivering accounting valuations and/or retirement accounting consolidations.
  • Delivering good-quality retirement and benefits consulting advice to multinational corporations and international organizations.
  • Working in-house for a multinational corporation and being responsible for the design and delivery of regional or global retirement and benefit plans.
  • Experience working with teams in different countries can be beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multi-country team having regard to cultural differences.
• Self-motivated, confident and comfortable seeking advice and guidance when needed.
• Proficiency in the English language is a must; knowledge of German or French will be considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Core focus areas include:
  • Design, financing, tax, and ongoing governance of statutory and voluntary retirement (DC and DB) and benefit plans around the world; and
  • Co-ordination of retirement and benefit issues related to M&A and other business integrations/ separations; and
  • Delivery of global retirement technology solutions; and
  • Global retirement accounting consolidation.
• Uses actuarial/accounting and other technical international retirement and benefits knowledge to be able to proactively assist with advising clients on all aspects in respect of the management of their retirement and other benefit plans around the world.
• Acts as a project manager or team leader for bigger projects providing support to senior colleagues and coaching less experienced colleagues, working under limited supervision with verbal guidance.
• Takes full responsibility for delivering some smaller projects, working off own initiative. Prepares meeting materials and participates in client meetings.
• Ensures quality by reviewing work critically and applying technical expertise. Efficiently manages deadlines and works independently. Must have attention to detail.
• Provides support for new business development both on own initiative and through combining with more senior colleagues.
