At Hitachi Energy you will be part of our team of engineers and technicians that supports the production of our high-performance semiconductors. At HE Semiconductors we believe our products contribute to a sustainable energy future. We produce highly reliable power semiconductor modules, which allow trains to be the most environmental-friendly transportation and solutions allowing power grids to become more efficient. As part of our Workcenter you will take over the responsibility for our assembly processes, their stability, availability, automation, and improvement. You will feel the thrill of a highly automated, complex, and constantly improving production environment and deepen your technical knowledge in semiconductors assembly.

Together with our engineers you will build cross-functional teams enabling the implementation of our Industry 4.0 vision and contribute to our overall production performance.

Your responsibilities

  • Ownership for assembly processes like wire bonding, soldering or pick & place

  • Definition critical process parameters and driving continuous improvement of assembly processes

  • Monitoring the process stability, availability, and efficiency with common statistical method

  • Troubleshooting and innovative problem solving.

  • Automation of the processes

  • Process adaption for the integration of new products. Support in new technology development

  • Full documentation of your work and training of colleagues

Your Background

  • Solid degree (BSc / MSc) or thorough professional training in an engineering field (process, automation, mechanic, systems, chemistry or related discipline) with strong focus on production performance

  • Good understanding of production requirements and experience in process automation is desirable

  • Strong quality mindset with know how in applying common quality methods like 6-sigma and 8D

  • Experience in material science and/or statistical data analysis are a plus

  • Proficiency in German and English

  • Quick learning ability and shown hands-on mentality

  • Good communicator with a highly collaborative approach to work at an interface position between internal customers
