Robotics Engineer Intern / Autonomy

To complete our creative and dynamic team in Lausanne, we are seeking a 

Robotics Engineer Intern / Autonomy (100%)
Starting date: as soon as possible

Your role:

In this role, you will collaborate intensively with our engineering team on a variety of stimulating research and applied projects within the Autonomy team. You will have the opportunity to work directly with our advanced drones, integrating complex algorithms with sophisticated sensor technologies to enhance drone autonomy and performance.

What you will own: 

  • Conduct comprehensive research and evaluation of state-of-the-art solutions for cutting edge problems in robotics
  • Create Proof Of Concepts illustrating the feasibility and value of chosen solutions
  • Going on missions for testing the system in real-world environments

We require a Bachelor degree in Engineering. We look for autonomous, self-motivated and curious individuals who are not afraid of the unknown and willing to learn fast, with experience in some of these fields:

  • Good understanding of topics such as computer vision, SLAM, sensor fusion, motion planning, control algorithms and sensors used for robotics
  • Good  proficiency in C++ and Python
  • Experience with ROS1 or ROS2
  • Good level of English. French or any additional language an asset
  • A team player willing to work in a dynamic and ambitious team
  • A practical and hands-on approach, focused on developing iterative prototypes to turn research concepts into tangible prototypes
  • Previous drone experience is a plus
