We are embarking on an inspiring journey of transformation and are searching for a passionate and experienced Project Director. In this exciting role, you are the one, who has the expert knowledge of large energy sector projects. Your responsibility include all commercial and contractual aspects within the project. It will be important that you build and maintain relationships with key external and internal stakeholders in your project. Collaboration with the specialist departments is essential for the success.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of large and complex projects and ensures that the project gets executed on time, exceeding the financial targets, in accordance with all contractual agreements, quality standards and health, safety & environment requirements

  • Main interface to and between customer and all project participants

  • Building and maintaining customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction

  • Managing project and clarifying the contractual scope of deliveries, services and commercial conditions through to installation, commissioning and acceptance.

  • Defining the project progress in close coordination with production and coordinating technical acceptance with the customer

  • Monitoring and controlling the costs of project as well as creating and implementing cost-out and cost-benefit plans

  • Preparing and participating in commercial and technical risk reviews

Your background

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience in project management in the energy sector or a similar environment

  • Bachelor or Master, preferably in electrical engineering or mechatronics, combined with further commercial training

  • Good intuition for customer requirements and strong customer relationship management skills

  • Strong ability to manage and coordinate tasks, projects and special topics independently, autonomously and under deadline pressure and to present the results to a forum

  • International work experience desirable

  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English, preferably another foreign language

  • Willingness for business trips worldwide

  • Very good communication and presentation skills
