We are currently looking for a multiple skilled Lab Technician QC - Lead to work out of our Spring, Texas facility.

The Manufacturing Quality Control Tech - Lead serves as team lead with auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards. Testing random samples of finished goods. Reporting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods and liaising with Quality Assurance to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Seen as mentor to others on team and involved in training of new/developing teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Standard Work Instructions and Company Policies.
  • Adhere/Follow all safety rules.
  • Alert supervision to product quality or machine operation concerns.
  • Maintain the 5S standard of the assigned area.
  • Performs Quality Tests per written standards on raw materials and finished goods to ensure compliance with Holcim’s specifications and quality standards. Prepares & enters test results & calibration results in Quality Software Programs and other computer programs such as Google Documents, Microsoft Office documents.
  • Identifies and assists in isolating nonconforming products to ensure product is not shipped to customer.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School diploma, GED, or Equivalent Work Experience Mfg. experience preferred (demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience with computer-controlled equipment) Ability to follow standard work instructions, use measurement tools, blueprints, manuals as needed.

Working Conditions

The working conditions include an indoor, dusty non-temperature controlled, industrial manufacturing and warehouse environment. Subject to varying cold and hot temperatures and occasional outdoor activities in hot or adverse weather.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift to 50lbs including use of lifting assistance devices Ability to stand for extended period. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, kneel as required Ability to operate mobile equipment as required.

This position has the potential to manage and handle hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
