The jobholder will act as business partner for the HOME division of Vorwerk being the first contact point from the markets on international tax and transfer pricing topics. The objective is to oversee tax planning and risk management, driving direct and indirect tax compliance, providing national and international tax advice to business stakeholders and top management as well as supporting during tax audits & litigation. As International Tax Director you are part of Vorwerk’s GroupTax function supporting in the development of global tax strategies to achieve financial goals as well as being part of business and tax projects, initiatives, and restructurings.

What are we looking for?

Job Responsibilities:

• Being the central business partner for all national and international tax matters of the HOME division and driving the cooperation with business representatives, other Group functions and external consultants


• Ensuring timely preparation and submission of direct and indirect tax declarations  of Vorwerk International & Co. KmG and selected Swiss affiliates.


• Driving  tax planning while  mitigating tax risks


• Improving continuously the existing Tax Compliance Management System while driving process excellence and utilizing digitalization opportunities to implement state-of-the-art technology solutions (e.g. global VAT solutions)


• Steering and executing operational transfer pricing processes in close collaboration with the finance functions at Vorwerk International & Co. KmG and in the countries


• Reviewing of relevant transfer pricing documentations of Vorwerk International & Co. KmG and its foreign affiliates


• Initiating pro-actively projects following Vorwerk’s Group Tax strategy and ensure its proper implementation


• Representing Vorwerk’s Group Tax function in international restructuring- and M&A-projects


• Being responsible for Swiss tax audits and supporting  Vorwerk International & Co. KmG’s foreign subsidiaries in local tax audits as well as in international mitigation/resolution matters (such as APAs)


• Functionally leading the customs center of excellence

Your Profile

• Certified tax advisor (“Steuerexperte” CH) and / or master’s international degree in economic studies with a focus on international taxation


• 8+ years of professional experience in the field of international taxation and transfer pricing in a multinational enterprise, the tax administration or in a tax consulting firm


• Process knowledge and IT affinity paired with the willingness and ability to take ownership in both daily compliance and project related tasks


• Proven ability to dig into technical details and translate complex issues to non-tax experts and business partners


• Dedicated, entrepreneurial and analytical thinking team player with hands-on attitude


• Intercultural competence and assertiveness


• Fluent German and English language skills
