YOUR CHALLENGES

The primary responsibility of the Product Line Supply Chain Manager is to oversee and optimize the supply chain operations related to his/her product lines within the organization.

• Development of appropriate supply chain strategies in alignment with Strategic Sourcing and Operations functions to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
• Lead of the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Acting as a business partner to key stakeholders in business (Sales and Sales Operations), Business Units (Product Management and Engineering, etc.) and Operations (Global Customer Order Management, Strategic Sourcing, Production, Quality, etc.)
• Directs and coordinates the Product Line Supply Chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction. Operational discipline to implement supply initiatives end-to-end, execute COGS projects diligently, get things done, and be agile to address supply issues when they arise
• Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities (MtP, MtO, MtS) related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the required levels of product demand.
• Attracting top talent / developing talent: Recruit, train, develop and motivate team members, driving proactive succession planning whilst feeding the global pipeline with internationally mobile talent.
• Collaborates with Strategic Sourcing department to determine best practice for supplier utilization and realization of economies of scale effects.
• Responsible to monitor and routinely report on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary.

YOUR COMPETENCIES

• University degree in Engineering, International Management and/or Economics
• Track record as leader and/or manager of global teams
• Technical education and advanced education in procurement and supply chain management
• Several years of experience in developing industrial operations as well as tactical and strategic project purchasing
• Project and strong cross functional management skills with stakeholder management focus
• Can- do attitude and very good communication skills in German and English
• Results and customer orientated team player
• Collaboration with internal departments including leading global projects and meetings
• Active participation in the improvement of procurement processes and management of cross-divisional projects
• Willingness to travel (20%)
