Senior Java Engineer

For our Lugano Branch (Switzerland) we are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join an international project in the Banking industry.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Analysis of business requirements
• Design of technical solutions and documentation
• Takes technical leardership for all stages in the software development process with focus on configuration, integration and delivery of the products
• Implementation of software integration solutions in Java
• Setup the technical testing phases (unit tests, integration tests …)
• Communication with internal and external resources and partners at all levels in a multi-lingual environment

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's/Master's degree preferably in computer science or engineering
• At least 5 years of experience of JAVA 
• Advanced knowledge of messaging frameworks (RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, Apache ActiveMQ, IBM MQ)
• Strong experience in software implementation with Spring Boot, Spring core, JMS, JPA, REST WS, SOAP, JBOSS EA
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Good command of spoken and written Italian and English is a must
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills reinforced by structured problem solving approach
• Experience with Agile / Scrum methodology is a plus
