Fleet Technical Lead

Zurich is seeking an individual to be the Fleet Technical Lead for Zurich Resilience Solutions. This role can be located anywhere in the U.S. and will have estimated 25% travel. In this role you will provide guidance and consulting to customers, underwriting, and colleagues on both local and international levels.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Research emerging property auto/truck risk issues to identify their potential impact, determine mitigation strategies, and communicate this information consumable to end users.
  • Develop technical standards for the Fleet Fire line of business with corresponding guidance to the staff, complete with technical materials and products that support assessments, service, and mitigation of loss sources.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, support delivery of training to staff, customers, and underwriting, and drive quality through calibration efforts and quality reviews.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience in Fleet Safety/Fleet Programs

OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in Fleet Safety/Fleet Programs

OR

  • Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associates degree and 8 or more years of experience in Fleet Safety/Fleet Programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience within fleet safety at least 3 years in a technical advisory role.
  • Insurance industry or experience with the insurance aspects of fleet programs.
  • Experience with telematics tools and utilization of fleet data to determine loss causation and mitigation opportunities.
  • Examples of the ability to research complex technical issues.
  • Proven ability/examples of technical writing.
  • Proven ability/examples of presentation development and communication at the individual to the significant audience level.
  • Able to differentiate risk and establish strategic project priorities.
  • Ability to present to senior levels of the ZRS, Underwriting, and customer organizations.

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Other rewards may include short term incentive bonuses and merit increases. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The starting salary range for this position is $110,700.00 - $181,400.00.
