Business Application Owner

Job Description
 

We are looking for a highly motivated Business Application Owner to join our fast-growing Data, Processes and Systems (DPS) team. The DPS team consists of specialists in Business Analysis, Business Architecture and Project Management working in the Private Markets Operations department. The team’s focus is the execution of strategic initiatives, design of new solutions and introduction of new tools, change management, but also to continuously improve the existing system landscape.

In the role as Business Application Owner you’re responsible to…

  • Demonstrate leadership and ownership, act as primary point of contact for all stakeholders related to the business application;

  • Ensure that the CRM application that is core to our investment and client activities serves its intended purpose and continues to deliver maximum value to the business;

  • Support the requirements analysis and design work of projects with dependencies to the application and request enhancements in order to fulfill the project’s objectives;

  • Challenge, review and approve new requirements, analyze the impact of the change on functionalities, interfaces and processes;

  • Work closely with business analysts and the design team to answer questions on business requirements and review proposed solutions;

  • Define with stakeholders how solutions will be tested, prepare test cases, execute user acceptance tests, review with stakeholders and receive sign-off for new features;

  • Prepare training materials and train business users, push for adoption and support the entire change management process;

  • Manage the vendor relationship, software licenses and maintain a prioritized list of enhancements and issues;

  • Host Power User Committees to set priorities, identify pain points and keep the user community informed about the application roadmap;

  • Develop an in depth understanding of the application, data model, interfaces and supported business processes;

  • Harmonize application functionality and reference data across teams and office locations;

  • Drive data catalog completeness and raise the awareness on data ownership;

  • Coordinate with Compliance and IT Security to ensure the application is compliant with Regulations and our Information Security Policy.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years work experience, 2 years as a CRM business application/product owner or in a similar hands-on role at the interface between Business and IT, ideally in Alternative Assets; 

  • University degree or equivalent, qualifying experience in Business Economics, Business Informatics or Information Technology;

  • Motivation to work on own initiative and in collaboration with various partners, ability to deliver on time with a high level of integrity;

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand business and technical functions as well as process information quickly;

  • Great team player and ability to work collaboratively at various levels of the organization;

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in written and verbal English, German is a plus.
