C++ & Python Software Engineer for Meteorological Applications (f/m/d)

We are looking for a curious mind able to build innovative solutions to improve our forecasting technologies!

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize algorithms for weather forecasting, energy forecasting, and weather data processing
  • Manage storage, processing, and distribution of petabytes of data (e.g., station observations and model forecasts)
  • Build industry-specific solutions, such as solar and wind power forecasts
  • Development of weather data visualizations
  • Provide customers technical support for meteorological applications

Your qualifications

  • Passionate about revolutionizing weather forecasting
  • Enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team
  • Hold a university degree in computer science, natural science, or related fields
  • Excellent knowledge of Python and C++
  • Proficiency in Linux and Bash
  • Experience in modeling and simulating scientific processes
  • Knowledge of atmospheric science/meteorology is an advantage
  • Innovative mindset
