Student Research Assistant Position - HoloLens Biomedical Image Visualization

Student Research Assistant Position - HoloLens Biomedical Image Visualization

20%-40%, Zurich, fixed-term

Modern diagnostic imaging modalities provide a wealth of information in three and more dimensions, which often exceeds human processing capacity. To help humans to study the information and to help medical students and professionals to interactively explore human anatomy and (patho)physiology we have created the open-source Essential Vision (www.essential-vision.org) project.

Project background

As part of the Essential Vision project we have a part-time Student Assistant position available which concerns software development and image processing in an existing Unity-based framework to interactively visualize dynamic 3D anatomical models using Microsoft’s HoloLense. The anatomical and functional models are derived from time-resolved multi-contrast 3D Magnetic Resonance and Computed Tomography image datasets and other data sources which are available to this project.
