About This Role

The Sr. Engineer III will be leading, facilitating, or coordinating all activities pertaining to tech transfer within the Switzerland internal drug substance manufacturing site. Also, this person will lead technology transfer assignment and prioritization for drug product externally network. They will be responsible for creating, updating, and communicating technology (tech) transfer deliverables, the overall tech transfer schedule, and applicable tech transfer metrics and must be able to analyze complex issues and identify business process optimization opportunities. Also, they must be able to communicate to senior leadership transfer plans, program status and risk mitigations. Lead large, cross-functional teams towards a common goal. Concisely and accurately articulate departmental priorities to stakeholders and assist in aligning departmental priorities. Be a leadership team member of the Global Manufacturing Science Technology Transfer team.

What You'll Do

  • Provide leadership for tech transfer for the Switzerland based drug substance internal manufacturing site. Cultivate relationships with senior leadership, and external and internal stakeholder groups to build and mature the TT business process. Lead the deployment and assignment of technology transfer leaders for the given modality.
  • Provide leadership for tech transfer for the Drug Product external network from the Baar site. As stated above, this will include cultivating relationships and building on the TT business process; and leading the deployment and assignment of technology transfer leaders.
  • Coordinate and lead tech transfer meetings, attend process sub team meetings as necessary, and manage information flow and decisions within multiple tech transfers. Responsible for (as appropriate) leading, facilitating, or coordinating all activities pertaining to tech transfer, which could include initial process/facility fit including process introduction change controls process transfer, manufacturing readiness, production status and testing reports, material disposition, and tech transfer/project closeout.
  • Being a strategic leader and team member of the global manufacturing sciences tech transfer team, providing strategic insights and direction for the tech transfer matrix. Be accountable for adherence to the tech transfer business process including project schedule, TT plan, risks and mitigation tracking, audit support, stage gate adherence and appropriate escalation within the relevant internal/eternal TT networks, including Asset and GMTO teams.
  • Coordinates reports/data in support of CAPAs, deviations, investigations, presentations, technology transfer optimization, junior staff development, and to support long-range business decisions. May be required to provide technical expertise in at least one area of biopharmaceutical manufacturing and/or process development in support of tech transfers.

You possess exceptional leadership qualities, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior leadership and various stakeholders both internally and externally. You must excel in coordinating and leading, managing information flow, and ensuring adherence to project schedules and plans.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Educational Qualification: Either a Bachelor's degree plus 14 years of relevant experience, a Master's degree plus 12 years of relevant experience, or a PhD plus 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Leadership Abilities: Capability to provide leadership and direction for tech transfer activities, including leading cross-functional teams and establishing relationships with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to clearly articulate departmental priorities, transfer plans, program status, and risk mitigations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in coordinating and leading tech transfer meetings, managing information flow, and ensuring adherence to project schedules and plans.
  • Data Management: Skill in coordinating and managing reports/data to support corrective actions, deviations, investigations, presentations, and strategic business decisions, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Fluent in English
