The Capital Markets Team within Group Treasury & Capital Management is looking for a Manager Capital Markets to work on corporate financing and FX hedging topics out of the Zurich Headquarter.

If you are an experienced capital markets professional, with strong stakeholder management and applied corporate financing skills, this could be the position for you.

What you will do

• Oversee and manage the Group’s financing arrangements with banks and provide management with reports and briefings on the Group’s bank relations and ongoing business
• Negotiate, together with internal and external lawyers, Group loans, credit facilities and letters of credit (LoC)
• Support the set-up and maintenance of the Group’s financing entities and issuance programmes:
• Update the Group’s ECP and EMTN programme
• Execute capital markets issuances as well as liability management
• Negotiate and execute share buybacks
• Coordinate the Group’s management of FX risks and oversee the continued development and application of Group policies
• Coordinate hedging of exposure arising from balance sheet changes and transactions, including from M&A
• Implement and oversee hedge accounting relationships
• Actively engage in idea generation, projects and issue resolution related to your area of work in close alignment with inside and outside stakeholders.
• Develop long-term relationships with key external and internal stakeholders (i.e. regional and country management, risk and investment teams, banks, tax experts and lawyers)
• Identify opportunities and risks associated with changes in direction of external environment, looking forward over the next few years

What you bring

• Master’s degree or other suitable post-graduate qualification
• 5+ years combined experience in working in the capital markets team of an investment bank and/or capital markets team of an active corporate / financial services issuer
• Applied corporate finance knowledge with market, product, and deal experience
• Experience in issuing debt instruments in markets globally
• Experience with corporate FX hedging and hedge instruments
• Experience with share buybacks and issuances is preferred
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to interact with senior management and banks
• Knowledge of insurance accounting and balance sheet mechanics is preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and excellent oral and written communications skills in German are preferred
• Solid project management skills are an advantage
• Ability to work independently and flexibly, within tight deadlines is required
• Ability to effectively communicate in a culturally diverse global environment
• Agility and creativity to continuously evolve your area of work
