The Institute of Cell Biology is one of three institutes constituting the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Science of the University of Bern (see www.izb.unibe.ch).
The Nowacki Lab focuses mainly on RNA-mediated epigenetic mechanisms of genome regulation in eukaryotes.

PhD student position in
“Epigenetic mechanisms of complex genome editing in ciliates”.

We are looking for a motivated person who is familiar with basic molecular biology techniques. Applicants hold a master's degree in biology, biochemistry, or related fields.

A good command of English is mandatory.

We offer work in a highly dynamic research area and a friendly team atmosphere. You will be working in rapidly evolving projects using novel techniques and are encouraged to bring your experience and insight in the further development of your research project.

• The position is funded for 4 years, with a salary level according to the rules of the Swiss National Science Foundation.
• You will be integrated in the Graduate School for Cellular and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Bern (GCB).
