About the role :
The Vision Engineer Fill Finishing is responsible for the following installation:

Manual Visual Inspection (MVI)
-
Automatic Vision Inspection (AVI)
-
Automatic trayloader (TL)
How you will contribute :
2 phases are provided in this job: project and routine
For the project:
-
Is primary contact for visual inspection line and automatic tray loader.
-
Supply engineering expertise to the project of the new plant extension at the Takeda Neuchâtel site, namely NFA project, from SAT execution till reporting phases.
-
Support the delivery of project in interaction with the internal project team, with the selected EpCM, contractors and equipment manufacturers.
-
Organizes, follows up and reviews project activities to the assigned internal and external parties, EpCM, suppliers, manufacturers, etc.
-
Is managing clear communication between stakeholders to achieve project objectives and project schedule.
-
Drives project risk analysis to support to the Management to take decisions.
-
Does identify financial aspects for the changes of scope.
-
Is proposing corrective actions or improvements based on the lessons learnt of previous projects.
-
Defines qualification documents in collaboration with quality engineers, Validation, QA-Val and QA.
-
Does identify required project documentation with the team, using the QRM-methodology and the ASTM 2500 approach.
-
Ensures permanent update of project documentation and schedule in close collaboration with the service groups.
-
Supports maintenance and calibration in delivering their project activities.
-
Ensures implementation of divisional and corporate procedures and internal standards.
-
Introduction, support and optimisation of production and inspection processes (OEE optimisation, machine learning, reliability KPIs).
For the routine:
Main missions related to visual inspection are:
-
Vision Systems representative and a SME for standard optoelectronic and optomechanical methodologies.
-
Ensuring GMP and EHS compliant operational readiness of the automatic inspection systems.
-
Facilitate the development and implementation of algorithms through the implementation of tools, manipulation of large databases of images and videos, data visualization, performance evaluation and unit test set.
-
Introduction, support and optimization of production, inspection and monitoring processes (OEE optimization, machine learning, reliability KPIs).
-
Continuous monitoring / determination / evaluation of the batch reject figures (grey channel) at the inspection machines or calculation of the resulting OEE key figures.
-
Support and monitoring of qualification and validation of visual inspection automation systems; owns and maintains test case content.
-
Performs test method validation and non-product software validations for design verification tests.
-
Writes and executes design verification and engineering test protocols; analyzes data and authors test reports.
-
Collaborates on design input clarity and testability.
-
Applies statistical and problem solving (e.g. fishbone, 5-whys, DMAIC principles) analysis methods in any investigation / experimental work.
-
Support in process data analysis (Advanced Analytics, Tableau Reports).
-
Specialist support for trouble-shooting tasks.
Reporting to the Process Engineering Team Leader, the Vision Engineer Fill Finishing:
-
Is primary contact for the user with regard to technical aspects.
-
Is proposing corrective actions to the user in case of weaknesses.
-
Is organizing and coordinating corrective actions related to modifications and resources required to implement modification and corrective actions.
-
Does identify financial aspects for the modification and corrective actions.
-
Supports maintenance and calibration in cordoning their activities.
-
Works out projects related to the assigned systems as project leader.
-
Participates in project handled in the project engineering.
-
Applies the same engineering guidelines as the project engineering.
-
Develops and applies engineering procedures and company standards.
-
Ensures implementation of divisional and corporate procedures.
-
Provides appropriate training to services and users.
-
Participates in internal and external audits as system expert.
-
Participates on meetings with user, maintenance and other relevant service groups to ensure appropriate interventions on the systems.
What you bring to Takeda :
-
B.S. in Optical, Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Computer Engineering or equivalent is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
-
Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in software development in vision systems and different type of cameras.
-
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry in an engineering function related to imaging and/or illumination sub-systems is required.
-
Knowledge in Visual Inspection of parenteral products (USP <1790>) is preferred.
-
Prior experience developing and implementing AVI is preferred.
-
Project Management Experience is required.
-
Prior experience with V&V testing and/or related Design Control processes (e.g. product development lifecycle, requirements and risk management) is required.
-
Prior experience developing and implementing new test methods is required.
-
Qualification & Validation skills and in defining user requirements are required.
-
Proficiency in quantitative analysis and hardware automation in MATLAB.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft project and Microsoft visual c ++ is required.
-
Proficiency in SolidWorks for fixture design and a solid understanding of GD&T principles preferred.
-
Linux commands experience is preferred.
-
Proficiency in statistical principles/tools and statistics software such as Minitab, Python or MATLAB is preferred.
-
Knowledge of a GMP environment.
-
Overall relevant work experience at multi-national level organizations, within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology manufacturing industry.
-
Experience and knowledge of process engineering and automated vision process.
-
A good knowledge of Good Engineering Practices, cGxPs, FDA guidelines, ISPE guidelines, ATSM2500 & ASME/BPE standard.

Solid computer skills including Word, Excel, Trackwise, PowerPoint.

French and English (spoken and written).
