The site in Visp, Switzerland is undergoing an impressive growth and transformation. With the carve-out of Arxada other Third Party Companies and Joint Ventures (e.g. Arxada, DSM, BioAtrium/Sanofi, Bacthera… ) on site there is a constant need to actively manage collaboration, co-location and the provision of goods and services.

Moreover, it is critical to drive external relations e.g. to authorities, communities, cantonal and federal institutions or neighboring companies.
The Head 3rd Party Contracts & Services is responsible to be the central point of contact for 3rd parties and lead the alignment of needs of multiple institutional and business stakeholders . The incumbent will drive negotiations with senior leaders and is accountable to establish and manage various contracts with 3rd parties on site.

Key responsibilities:

  • First point of contact and coordinator for all third-party business of Lonza Services & Infrastructure Visp

  • Harmonize service contract framework incl. service levels for infrastructure and utility services provided by Lonza to 3rd parties or Joint Ventures on site, in alignment with Shared Infrastructure organization as well as Controlling

  • Lead the negotiation for contracts with assigned 3rd party companies, leveraging SMEs and aligning senior stakeholders (both internal and external)

  • Own and manage external relations e.g. to authorities, communities, cantonal and federal institutions or neighboring companies

  • Establish and run governance framework together with service partners

  • Facilitate escalations that derive from service agreements

Key requirements:

  • Master Degree in Engineering, Sciences or Business Administration

  • Fluent in both German and English (mandatory)

  • A minimum of 10-year experience in the field of Site Support/ Operations in the Process Industry

  • Track record in contract and service level management

  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills, emotional intelligence in dealing with customersand Senior Leaders

  • Can-Do attitude and hands-on approach to connect and align with key stakeholders across businesses, companies and authorities

  • Strong analytical skills, business acumen and political savviness

  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments

  • Demonstrated strong communication skills across multiple levels of a multinational organization

  • Education in Lean (Black or Green Belt) would be an advantage

  • The role is located on site and requires local presence
