Do you have experience of injecting plastic moulds? Are you fluent in English? Then this is the job for you!
For our client based in Valais, a company active in the plastic mould injection industry, we are looking for a Moulds Business Unit Manager (M/F).
Your activities at your future employer
  • Leading a team of 4 design engineers and app. 15 shopfloor people
  • (Project Planning & Management, Quality Control, CNC Machining incl. Programming,
  • Molds Test Assembly, Prototype Testing)
  • Implement a strategy to enable consistent growth of the Mold business and Services.
  • Initiate LEAN Production Operations in Moulds Factory and continuously improve productivity; use automation technology to increase growth and output with same or less staff
  • Pursue new market opportunities with Sales
  • Drive operational efficiencies through innovation and new product/service introductions.
  • Take responsibility for people decisions such as people management and performance management.
  • Build a strong and empowered team, coaches, counsels and motivates the team through regular feedback.
  • Manage the workstream Engineering & Manufacturing of this Business Units
  • Member of the Management Team
Your advantages for your future employer
  • Hands-on leader (at least 50% time to be spent on shopfloor)
  • Can identify and train talented foremen in shopfloor
  • Experienced in lean improvements for moulds production and assembly processes
  • Can understand and make assembly processes more efficient
  • Able and willing to relocate to Wallis or closeby
  • Education: ideally a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a lean qualification or Technical Apprenticeship with experience in mold making /tool making ("Werkzeugmacher”)
  • Experience in automation business is a plus
  • Languages: English a must, German preferable, French a plus
