Tire Industry Project

Established in 2005, the Tire Industry Project (TIP) works under the umbrella of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), as a sector project. The purpose of TIP is to anticipate, study and determine potential environmental and health issues relating to the whole life cycle of tires that could impact the tire industry globally, and communicate results to the appropriate stakeholders. This project is chaired by the three largest tire manufacturers – Bridgestone, Goodyear, and Michelin – and currently includes a total of eleven companies representing more than 60% of the world's tire manufacturing capacity.

Job Overview

Support Action and Engagement Pillar on the following tasks:

Responsibilities and duties


Support the implementation of the workplan including:

the planning and execution of meetings, including preparing content, sharing notes and action points, scheduling,
support with proactive project management,
support with research as relevant.
Support the preparation of project review meetings including the development of content and power point presentations.
Support the various new initiatives with scheduling, note taking and research as needed.
Support the planning, logistics and administration of the Action and Engagement Pillar as relevant
Support with contracting for consultants
Work with the TIP team to develop and maintain a robust contact management system that will be used by the team for engagement work.
Qualifications, skills, and experience

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in sustainability, international relations, or public policy;
Strong organizational and project management skills;
Experience in sustainability or engagement;
Highly computer literate, competent in use of PowerPoint, spreadsheets and other electronic tools;
Ability to work in a fast pace environment, identify obstacles and ability to find quick solutions to overcome them;
Creativity;
Ability to work in multicultural environment;
Strong interpersonal skills and service orientation;
Fluency in English; working knowledge of French highly desirable.


The position is full-time and based in Geneva.
