Responsibilities

Société Générale Private Banking, the wealth management division of Société Générale, ranks among the leaders of the Private Banking sector. Due to the expertise of our teams specialized in wealth management, we provide our clients with a comprehensive and personalized approach to their needs. Through Société Générale Private Banking network, business line dedicated to wealth management, we offer our customers a full range of services and the necessary expertise to develop both complete and various solutions: wealth planning, asset management (discretionary, advice), direct access to the trading floor, banking services and investment advice.

Mission: 

Within the Wealth Management Solutions department, you will join as a trainee (for a period of 12 months) the team in charge of implementing the control and monitoring of the discretionary and advisory mandates and providing transversal support and solutions to the department.

The role will be to assist the Commando development activities, working closely with the Investment Managers to evaluate their requirements and build solutions to facilitate their activity, in compliance with internal rules and practices.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and maintain Python codes to automate process, enhancing efficiency in portfolio management, streamlining tasks, and fostering a data-driven approach to decision-making
  •  Develop, document, and maintain the team’s SQL database
  • Develop, document, and maintain dashboards/interfaces for the Investment Management Team
  • Collaborate with the Investment Managers to prepare client portfolio reviews and investment strategies, ensuring clear communication and data-driven insights
  • Conduct analysis on client portfolios and bespoke strategies, realizing back-tests, evaluating positioning, performance, and risk
  • Develop reports and ensure coordination of EUC/EUDA tools for the needs of the various wealth management teams
  • Support, advise and frame the practices and projects of the WMS development community in compliance with internal guidelines and rules
  • Demonstrate innovation, whether in terms of languages, visualizations, or implementation

Profile required

Studies and experience:

  • Currently pursuing a master’s degree or Grande Ecole in economics, financial engineering, or a related field

Language skills:

  • Fluency in French and English

Technical, operational, and soft skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial markets
  • Knowledge of financial products ranging from vanilla products to more exotic OTC products
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, VBA and SQL language
  • Overall knowledge of tools/systems within the bank and the associated data model
