Your responsibilities
Comprehensive legal support to local Business Units in all domestic and international legal aspects, in particular contract law
Protection and enforcement of company interests - in Switzerland and worldwide - in negotiation with third parties, in government proceedings and before state courts and arbitral tribunals
Ensuring compliance with the applicable laws and regulations and internal policies in various fields (in particular data privacy, antitrust, bribery & corruption)
Observation of legal trends and changes
Collaboration in interdisciplinary project teams, with specialists of the global Hitachi Energy Legal & Integrity team as well as with legal colleagues of other countries
Collaboration in Risk Management and other internal processes
Management and supervision of external law firms along quality and budget targets
Training of Hitachi Energy employees in all legal matters
Your background
Master degree in Law, preferably with additional qualifications acquired in the US or UK
Admitted to the Swiss bar (or proven experience with Swiss administrative / judicial institutions)
Legal generalist with experience in specific fields, such as contract law and, if possible, in labor law, data privacy and/or public procurement law
Approximately 5 years post-qualification working experience, preferably as an attorney-at-law in private practice or inhouse.
Open and able to closely collaborate with colleagues and teams of various cultures and disciplines around the world.
Ability to provide business-oriented solutions with a willingness to grow yourself and a strong team player spirit.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Fluent in German and English, French and/or Italian is an asset
