Position Summary
In this function, you are responsible for supply chain tasks of Comparator projects. With the assistance of the European Comparator Team Leader Supply Chain you ensure that the services are delivered on time and to customer’s and Thermo Fisher Scientific´s quality standards.
After getting the PO from our customer, you, with the collaboration and the pre-requisites of the Comparator Project Manager, act as first point of contact for suppliers, providing timely and accurate communication and information for all activities related to comparator projects, both internal and external.

With the Comparator Project Manager, you will be the main contact persons with the suppliers. This is to ensure that the products are ready for the start of the study or as required by the customer.
Participation in cross-functional business process improvement activities as required.


Key Responsibilities:
 

Management of purchase orders to comparator suppliers

  • Generate BB-Nos. and product specifications
  • Double check content of documents received in order to issue Purchase Order to suppliers in GPM and/or Coda
  • Administrate purchase orders in Salesforce, set the correct status and monitor delivery times of the Purchase orders
  • Ensure effective communication with suppliers

Coordination of Comparator Incoming Goods

  • Organize and co-ordinate Pick Up with Logistics at supplier site whenever necessary
  • Issue Pre-Alert for warehouse/QA and provide them with relevant documents, e.g. CoA
  • Co-ordinate with Warehouse/QA timely booking and approval of received goods
  • Solve de-commissioning problems (Falsified Medicinal Products-EU Directive) together with the Weil Am Rhein warehouse

Coordination of distribution orders and outbound shipments

  • Create Distribution Order in GPM to delivery address
  • Coordination with FCS logistics for outbound shipment
  • Ensure receipt of requested documents for Distribution Order as per set up, e.g. Import license, USDA statement, End use letter, Certificate of Origin
  • Ensure correct application of transport insurance according to internal guidelines

Timely Processing of supplier invoices and credit notes

  • Assign supplier invoices and credit notes with the correct booking allocation
  • Ensure and co-ordinate with Finance on time payments to the suppliers
  • Co-ordinate pre-payments with Finance

IT-systems update

  • Regularly update delivery scheduled dates in Sales Force, before month, quarter & year end
  • Regularly update tracking sheets related to Comparator projects
  • Work with Finance to ensure accurate accruals list at Month end (Customer and suppliers)

Diverse

  • Support Project Management for freight estimate, for specific Import- / Export Regulations or Incoterms questions
  • Issue destruction of Comparator products according to the SOP
  • Ensure in case of deviations that relevant documents and communications are filed for further processing in Global Trackwise

Requirements:

  • Educated to Degree level, preferably in related field such as supply chain, Logistics, business, etc. or equivalent education with significant commercial content
  • Experienced in the field of supply chain management (3 to 5 years), preferably within a pharmaceutical environment
  • Ability to multitask, with attention to details
  • Excellent communication, co-ordination and negotiation skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in German and English
  • User experience in operating an ERP system (beneficial and desirable) and good knowledge of standard office software (MS Office, MS Project etc.)
