Junior Industrial Engineer

About This Role
The Global Engineering and Facilities organization is looking to hire a Junior Industrial Engineer. This individual contributor within one on of our functions (Biologics & Advanced Therapies, Fill Finish or ASO/Small molecule) is responsible for subject matter expertise in operational process modelling and related improvements to utilization and efficiency of manufacturing equipment, process unit operations, utilities, and facilities.
At Biogen, Subject Matter Expertise is demonstrated by possessing a good understanding of at least some aspects of the Industrial Engineering business process and of some associated methodologies and tools.
The Junior Industrial Engineer will contribute to developing manufacturing equipment productivity improvement plans based on business needs, equipment utilization and efficiency indicators using real-life-data driven computerized manufacturing process models. This data will be used to support investments in new manufacturing equipment or in modifications of existing equipment, automation or operating principles.
This role will work in close cooperation with several operational improvement stakeholders at site and global level and will interact with operational management teams on several Biogen manufacturing sites.
This is a hybrid role that can be based at our site in RTP, NC or Solothurn, Switzerland.

You should have some understanding of manufacturing processes and a proven ability to apply your expertise to solve middle complexity problems. You should have experience working on processes and problems and should have demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver results. You must be able to demonstrate your ability to collect, organize, validate, and analyze large sets of data to turn them into valuable information to feed the models and the indicators as well as your capability to present the results of the models and calculations into easily digestible communications suited to a variety of stakeholders.
