For its site of Mex, Switzerland, BOBST Mex SA is looking for its new Maintenance & Repairs Business Stream Director.
As Maintenance & Repairs Director, you are a member of the Marketing Management Team and report to the Head of Marketing for the Business Unit Service & Performance (BUSP).
This is a permanent contract with a flexible start date.

Mission :

The Maintenance & Repairs Business Stream Director is responsible for implementing and executing the global Strategy for the business area (Maintenance solutions, Remote Assistance & Training Services) delivering business outcomes that meet or exceed expectations. This role demands a strong blend of industry knowledge, technical expertise, commercial acumen, and personal leadership.

He / she is also responsible for analyzing in deep the needs of the Customers and developing new business models that could fulfill these needs (extended warranties, new invoicing methods, etc) as well as delivering substantial business growth to BUSP.

Effective collaboration with various business partners, product lines, and customers is crucial. The director will maintain ongoing, close business relationships with the BUSP Sales organization, Technical organization & external customers.

Frequent travel is required for this position to meet suppliers, partners, and customers, understand their needs, and ensure effective collaboration with the Team and Bobst Group stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities :
  • Understand customer needs, develop and implement an effective roadmap :
    • Maintain a strong connection with the markets and customers, both directly and through the BUSP Sales organizations. Understand and swiftly transform customer needs and emerging requirements into Bobst solutions.
    • Market Analysis: Regularly assess key market needs, emerging trends, and requirements in the areas of Maintenance & Repairs. Use this knowledge to evolve the Business Strategy continuously
    • Define and execute the Maintenance & Repairs business roadmap, enabling the Bobst Group to meet its business growth plan in this strategic market segment in the short, mid, and long term with a close, regular and trusted business partnership working with R&D, Marketing and Sales from both BUs. Very strong attention will be given to the development of the new business propositions like extended warranties, new maintenance programs, new invoicing (pay per pack) systems, etc.
  • Strategy development & execution for achieving business objectives :
    • Business Planning: Define and execute a short-term (quarterly & yearly) and long-term (3 - 5 years) business plan in line with the overall BU Services strategy. Be responsible for closely reviewing and managing the business results and consistent performance.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Agree on the annual business plan with all key Bobst Group stakeholders, and the regional market leadership team within BU Services. Ensure that all plans are deployed and allocated across all selected Routes to Market consistently and effectively to deliver success.
    • Performance Management: When material deviations in the business performance are foreseen or detected, rapidly undertake and implement corrective plans to revitalize the business to deliver to plan.
  • Extend team leadership & management :
    • Collaboration: Work closely with peers and team members from the Bobst Product Lines to ensure the required focus, attention, and execution of the Roadmap across all key Products and Services.
    • Leadership: Be recognized as a respected leader in the Packaging and Tooling Industries worldwide, effectively communicating the Bobst value proposition to all relevant external and internal stakeholders and influencers.
    • Team Management: Led a highly skilled and focused organization within Bobst, comprising Marketing & Product development.
    • Performance Monitoring: Closely monitor the business performance. Effectively manage the performance of the people within the group.
    • Resource Allocation: Appropriately allocate resources to maximize team success.
    • Talent Development: Define and actively promote people development programs and initiatives to build talent.

Your profile :
  • University degree in business or engineering.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience with at least 5 years on a similar position
  • In depth machinery business and/or client service knowledge. Ideally proven track records in similar roles in the Packaging Industries.
  • Proven track record of developing commercial relationships (value selling) and consistently delivering high-impact results to meet clients' needs
  • Know-how of business development with excellent track record of business growth
  • International experience in a matrix environment is a must
