The Fairmont Monte Carlo is a luxury hotel located in the heart of the Principality of Monaco. It features 596 rooms, suites, and residences as well as four restaurants, three bars, a Fitness Center, a Spa, two swimming pools, Room Service, and a Catering service.

Reporting to the Head Chef, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to: 

• Providing customers with professional, engaging, and attentive service while assisting colleagues
• Organizing and supervising the quality and quantity of dishes offered as well as coordinating production related to all banquets
• Reviewing all banquet orders and ensuring that all dishes are prepared and setups are completed
• Organizing preparatory meetings for each work period for colleagues 
• Participating in the development of new proposals and presentations for banquets
• Monitoring the staff budget and productivity in accordance with established guidelines
• Ensuring the training of new colleagues
• Ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
• Complying with policies, procedures, and service standards related to kitchens
• Adhering to all hygiene and safety policies when handling food and beverages
• Other tasks as assigned

• Previous experience in a kitchen management position
• Successful experience in starred restaurants
• Having already led a team of 20 employees
• A diploma or certificate in a culinary discipline is required
• Proficiency in English is desired
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications is an asset
• Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills
• Particularly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to focus attention on customer needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
