Contract duration: 11 months (fixed-term contract)
Activity rate: 70%
Position level: 11 on the VD State salary scale

Your activities
In your activities, you will be responsible for:
- Leading, coordinating, and implementing the Data Catalog project – developing the "research data" collection in IRIS (Institutional Research Information System) – ensuring coherence, standardization, interoperability, operationality, and sustainability of the system at UNIL level, supporting the IRIS business manager;
- Contributing to data curation in IRIS and supporting the UNIL community.
The Data Catalog project, which you will primarily manage, aims to describe (catalog) research data from research projects in a single place using structured, standardized metadata with controlled vocabulary. The goal is to make these data visible and reusable ("recyclable") sustainably when applicable, and to avoid many duplicates.
Your profile
To complete our team, we are looking for a person with the following profile:
- Holds a Master’s degree in documentary information with specialization in management or curation/archiving of research data and/or professional experience supporting researchers;
- Proven practice in research data curation;
- Experience in coordinating documentary projects or analyzing user needs;
- Experience in project management;
- Knowledge of information management and sharing tools, particularly research information systems (CRIS) and research data repositories (Data Repositories);
- Mastery of bibliographic standards and metadata standards, especially BibTex, Data Cite, Dublin Core, and OpenAIRE;
- Good knowledge of the Swiss research environment and related academic institutions;
- Excellent organization, analytical and synthesis skills;
- Excellent written French and good command of English.
