Organist at 35-40%
To ensure the musical accompaniment of worship services and special services and to actively contribute to the prominence of the organs of the Morges-Echichens Parish, we are looking for a:
Organist at 35-40%*
Main tasks:
- choose the music in collaboration with the officiants, families, and married couples
- perform pieces on the organ, piano, or with other musicians during worship services, weddings, funerals, and other ceremonies
- accompany the liturgy and songs sensitively and in close collaboration with the officiants
- ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of the organs of the Morges - Echichens Parish, in connection with the relevant services
- participate in promoting the organs, notably in collaboration with the Cultural Office of the City of Morges
- conduct cultural mediation activities such as guided tours and presentations during cultural events.
We wish for:
- Master's degree from a University of Music (HEM) in organ or an equivalent qualification
- sensitivity to religious songs and liturgy
- improvisation skills, openness to different musical styles, and creativity
- strong organizational skills
- collaborative spirit, interpersonal skills, and sociability
- availability and adaptability to different audiences, workplaces, and schedules.

The recruitment process will take place in two to three phases and will be conducted by a previously established jury, including representatives from the City of Morges, the Morges-Echichens Parish, as well as a professional from the field.
* The announced activity rate concerns the main services (58 to 65 worship services per year) as well as cultural mediation. Special services (weddings, funerals, etc.) will be remunerated separately.
