Reporting to the Assistant General Housekeeper, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
• Collect guest laundry from the room
• Iron guest laundry
• Prepare and package laundry for delivery to the guest room according to company standards
• Mark and check guest laundry
• Perform sewing repairs on uniforms
• Distribute hotel uniforms
• Make alterations on guest clothing as requested
• Organize and distribute laundry to various food and beverage departments
• Separate guest/staff laundry for different treatments, laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing
• Ensure follow-up of non-compliant laundry between floors and external laundry
• Organize and ensure daily laundry deliveries with external laundry
• Always know the progress status of guest laundry
• Know and learn LQA standards
• Actively participate in the development of total quality approach, notably through improvement proposals
• Provide necessary information to the superior for the smooth running of the department
• Participate in an annual performance review with the superior
• Commit to the quality of service, discretion, and perfect honesty
• Maintain a professional attitude, be smiling, and remain calm at all times
• Be flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially if required to work in another department occasionally
• Respect ergonomic work standards, health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary prescriptions
• Respect the policies, procedures, and service standards of the department and company
• Perform any other assigned tasks

• 1 year of experience in a similar position is an asset
• Previous experience in a 4* or 5* hotel is an asset
• Good verbal knowledge of the French language
• Knowledge of English is an asset
• Sewing skills
• Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and handle last-minute changes
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times

VISA REQUIREMENTS

To work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
