About the job
Küsnacht on Lake Zurich is considered an attractive community near Zurich thanks to its excellent location. The employees of the municipal administration and the school provide comprehensive services of high quality for the population.
The Küsnacht school offers lunch, day, and holiday care for around 1,000 children from 1st kindergarten to 6th grade in four school-complementary care facilities (KICK). The children are cared for, supported, and provided with meals during non-school hours and school holidays.
At the care facility KICK Itschnach, around 130 children from diverse social and cultural backgrounds are cared for. Starting August 2026, we are looking for a
Apprentice Childcare Specialist
Your tasks
- Caring for and organizing leisure activities for children in close cooperation with the group leader and care team
- Willingness to work interdisciplinarily with the care and school team
- Promoting a modern, contemporary awareness of health and eating habits
- Administrative and housekeeping tasks
- Active participation in holiday care
- Active participation in meetings
What you bring
- German as a native language or at least level C1
- Enjoyment in caring for school-age children
- Interest in actively supporting children's development
- Empathy, patience, and a sense of humor
- Team spirit
- Reliability
- Not mandatory but advantageous: having completed an internship in a daycare center
