CITY OF RORSCHACH The Social and Society Department with the divisions Administration/Accounting, Specialist Unit Society, Youth and Family Support, and Social Welfare Office supports and accompanies people in personal, social, and economically difficult life situations. Designed as a preventive and advisory service, the Specialist Unit Society ensures low-threshold access for citizens of the city of Rorschach to social services. As maternity cover, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a Social Worker Specialist Unit Society (50% position) limited until 31.01.2027 Your activities essentially include: e Voluntary social counseling for residents of the city of Rorschach on the following topics: Living in Rorschach - Leisure - Housing - Health - Livelihood security - Language - Coexistence and integration - Family - Networking. e Participation in open short consultations at the Info*Office e Participation in prevention projects at the tReff e Cooperation and networking with partners, institutions, and specialist units e Conducting welcome and information talks with newly arrived migrants e Participation in the further development of the Specialist Unit Society For this demanding task, you bring a degree as a social worker FH or an equivalent qualification. You show interest and flair for low-threshold work focusing on community needs and are an open, sociable personality with joy in versatile work. You like to work independently and in an agile and dynamic team. You are characterized by high empathy but also assertiveness and flexibility. Due to the design of the services, the fixed working days are: Monday, Tuesday morning, and Wednesday morning. The distribution of the remaining percentage of the position is by arrangement. You can expect a young, lively team, exciting and varied tasks, and modern employment conditions.
