Unit Head desks & secretariats (CUS) for the Oncology Department
To complement its team, the Coordinated Oncology Center (CCO) and the Radiotherapy Service (RTH) of the UNIL-CHUV Oncology Department (DO) are looking for a Unit Head desks & secretariats (CUS) with an activity rate between 80% and 100%.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Coordinated Oncology Center (CCO) of the UNIL-CHUV Oncology Department (DO) works in the care of oncology patients and allows them to meet their referring physician for consultations and outpatient treatments such as chemotherapy or immunotherapy. The CCO is composed of a team of highly qualified professionals from different disciplines and collaborates very closely, demonstrating exemplary commitment and extraordinary dedication to the cause of cancer.
The administrative sector acts as a strategic partner in patient care and clinical activities and provides the administrative skills required for the smooth operation of the platform. Mission
- You ensure the operational management of the administrative activities of the Coordinated Oncology Center (CCO) / UTI (Experimental Therapies Unit) platform. You organize, plan, and supervise the daily activities of the desks and secretariats to guarantee continuity and optimal and efficient service operation while ensuring safety, quality, and effectiveness of services.
- You develop the schedule for collaborators and teams based on operational needs.
- You supervise the operational teams of the CCO / UTI platform under your responsibility (recruitment, supervision, evaluation, and facilitation).
- You support new collaborators, identify training needs (tools, procedures), act as the reference for continuing education, and participate in the development of service members' skills.
- You serve as the interface between administrative staff and internal partners (doctors, caregivers, HR, etc.).
- You assist the desks & secretariats coordinator in departmental continuous improvement missions and provide replacement in case of absence.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification related to the function, complemented by recognized training in team management, project management, or management.
- You have several years of experience in a supervisory role in a similar position, ideally in a hospital or healthcare environment.
- With a strong sense of responsibility, you are recognized for your ability to manage and unite a team.
- With very good organizational skills, you know how to manage priorities and are capable of analyzing and synthesizing information from various interlocutors.
- You are adaptable and demonstrate the flexibility necessary for the smooth operation of a public service.
- Your open-mindedness and client orientation enable you to welcome and respond to a wide variety of requests.
- Extremely rigorous and proactive in your work, you are perfectly comfortable with the IT solutions and tools of a large organization.
- You have very good command of common IT tools (Microsoft Office).
- With excellent knowledge of French, especially in writing, your interpersonal skills allow you to communicate clearly. Knowledge of a foreign language is an asset.
